chicken pox
please calm me down here.. i just told my old boss that i was expecting and she came to meet me.. and she hugged me.. I go into a conference room to talk to her, she tells me her son has chicken pox, or something like that.. and he had the varicella vaccine.
anyway, i got the varicella shot, but my levels are not high enough so my immunity is not where it is supposed to be.. i'm freaking out.. i just called my dr and waiting for her to call back... anyone have any insight on chicken pox and how this works.. i'm a mess.

Re: chicken pox
If he had the vaccine he may have a mild case and not enough to transmit.. Wait for your Dr. to call before you freak out. When I was about 10 weeks PG with DD I was exposed to someone who had fifths disease. I FREAKED! Had to go in and get blood tests done and it turns out I was not immune. I never got it. Dont freak!!!

Re: chicken pox
thank you.. i just called her and she said that she doubts it is because he was with small children during incubation period and none of them had any symptoms.. and my mom's like if this lady has immunity (which she told me she does when i called) then i should be ok.. but i'm banging my head here.. hyperventilating..

Re: chicken pox
You should be fine if you weren't in contact with him and she has immunity.
