If and when did you tell your kids. I have hid it from them (middle School) so far, but later this week we have a concert and I have to wear a black dress and I look VERY pregnant in the dress. So they might not notice bc they are so self-absorbed, but their parents will.

Re: teachers
With ds I told them at 18 weeks. This time I slipped to one of my classes at 16 weeks. It's so exciting to see their reactions!!!

We have NYSSMA Major organization tomorrow afternoon (which is the music teachers equivalent of a state assessment, with 1 grade for all 70 of them) and I think telling them will get them pumped. I'm 14 weeks with twins, so it is getting harder and harder to hide it.

Re: teachers
I wasn't allowed to say anything to my class until 21 weeks when I was really showing. I'm in a really small district though and the principal didn't want to deal with the parents.

Re: teachers
My students were asking other teachers when I was around 10 weeks! I guess I couldn't hide the twins!

Re: teachers
My principal asked me to tell at 15 or 16 weeks I think. It was getting obvious and Grandparent's Day was that week, so I knew they'd know soon. All the parents were so excited b/c it wouldn't affect their kids since I'm not due till October.

Re: teachers
I teach elementary art-- so I have close to 800 students. It just seems wierd to me to announce it to class after class so I haven't said anything yet. Some of the kids have overheard me talking to their teachers so some classes know- and when kids ask me- I tell them. The first graders are the funniest--they just come up to you and say- "I think you have a baby in there!"
