that was the chance of our baby having "Body Stalk Anomoly". We were the "lucky ones" 
I went for my NT scan on Thursday - 12w 2d. The sono tech came in and did the scan. The MD came in shortly after and told us that the baby's condition was "catastophic". We felt like we were just floating around going from place to place having tests done, genetic counseling, CVS, on and on. We left the perinatologist knowing what we were going to have to do. We went straight to my ob/gyn who was waiting for us and as soon as I got there, I started to miscarry. We never had to make the decision, which, in many ways, I am thankful for. We immediately went to Mercy Med Center and they did the d&c. Physically, I am fine. I had no physical damage done and all the MD's feel that future pregnancies should not be an issue.
It's been the most painful 5 days of our lives. The numbness is all starting to fade which we're still trying to figure out if its a good thing or a bad thing. I don't know what else to say

i'm so sorry for your loss i too got the worst news of my life at our 12 week scan with my first pregnancy in 09--we found out our baby had not properly formed and a huge cyst was occupying his whole abdomen and pushing on his heart so i can definitely understand how horrible you feel right now. if you want to talk or need anything, please FM me! lots of hugs and prayers to you and your DH
