I had my baby!
Isabella Rose was born on Tuesday, May 3 at 935 am via an emergency c-section.
I was having contractions all day on Monday, but they were 15 minutes apart and the dr. told me not to go to the hospital until they were 5 minutes apart for an hour. Well that time hit around 10 pm Monday night.
When I got to L&D, they said my cervix was only dialated 2cm and they wanted me to walk the halls of the hospital for 2 hours. This was torture!
When I returned back to L&D, I was now dialated to 3 cm and I then requested the epidural at this point. THe epidural was HEAVEN! I felt ABOSULTELY NO PAIN after this was administered.
They broke my water around 330am and checked my cervix at 4am and I was dialated up to 4cm. I remained dialated at 4cm until 8am.
I was contrating really strongly which was forcing the baby down and her head was now pushing against my non-dialating cervix causing me to swell. At this point, a c-section was inevitable.
It was very scary and very weird being awake during major surgery - but nothing will ever top the feeling I felt when I heard my baby cry for the first time.
I have to say that the staff and facilities at Winthrop Hospital was really great!
So here she is - my beautiful baby girl!

sorry that u had to have a c-section but as along as your baby is healthy thats all that really matters.
