Girls Name - Your Opinion
My husband and I have been leaning towards 3 girls names:
* Skylar
* Kayla
* Makayla (we could call her Kayla for short)
I was disappointed to just see an article with most hated names in American.

Now I am concerned about what to name her. Is Skylar too unusual? I don't ever see it on a name list and I don't know anyone with that name. I obviously like the name Makayla, but if other people don't like it, then I may steer away from it. Baby is due in July, so if you don't like any names, that's ok we still have some time to choose something else. Name suggestions welcome!

Of the three I like Skylar the best. Unique, and pretty. Don't LOVE the others, but don't dislike them.

I agree. A little member of my step family is Kayla to me and when we went to a school thing for her, I couldn't find her and it was because she was seated in with the "M"s not the "K"s because she is Michaela. I had no idea!

I think all 3 names are beautiful but I agree that if you are going to call her Kayla anyway, I wouldn't bother with the Mikayla, even though it is a beautiful name. I also wouldn't put much thought into what that article says. If you like the name, that's all that matters. Both of my girls have different names and I love them as do my girls and everyone who meets them. I also grew up with a different name, and I'm so glad I was origional.

I like Makayla, but ONLY when it's spelled Michaela...
Otherwise I would just go with Kayla.
Not a fan of Skylar...

Makayla!!! that was our second choice, but my best friend named her baby that so we chose a different name!
