Re: Ocean City, MD

I was just checking out the same thing online Chat Icon . I'm going to go with Virginia Beach though because it looks like they may have some nicer places to stay and the weather looks like it will be a bit warmer when we go (Last week of April). I wanted so badly to go on a baby moon to Anguilla, but there were some teeny risks with me flying and I just didn't want to take the chance. So now we are trying to find somewhere driving distance to go to that will be somewhat warmer so we can get some sun. Keep me posted if you find anything. It seems like the east coast is very limited when it comes to nice places to go and relax.

I just saw your post on Virginia Beach and though "oh that would be good too". It's a bit hard to find something fun to do when you can't drink, can't go to amusement parks and it's not quite warm enough to just lay on the beach. I'll let you know if I find anything - DH is asking some co-workers who just went to VA about it.

Re: Ocean City, MD

So true. That's why I just want to find a place that is on the water and warm enough that we can sit comfortable and relax even if it's not in a bathing suit. So far the nicest hotel I have found in VA Beach is the Hilton Oceanside. I'll let you know if I come across anything else.

Re: Ocean City, MD

I lived in MD for 8 years, and DH and I like Ocean City a lot more than VA beach. The food is great, and it is so nice to walk along the boardwalk. There's a lot more going on there. It is just fun to people watch. Our favorite hotel there is Breakers hotel. The rooms are nice and it is in a great location along the boardwalk.

Re: Ocean City, MD

I stayed at quality inn which had two really nice pools and is right on the boardwalk. The Holiday Inn was next door and had a nicer pool area but was pricier. I think next time I will stay at Holiday Inn.

Re: Ocean City, MD

The Clarion is a really nice hotel and it is right on the beach. You step right out on to the beach and they set up your chairs and umbrellas for you. They also have a really nice outdoor area where you can eat lunch. It is decorated with all palm trees and stuff so it really makes you feel like you are away. We've gone there a bunch of times. FM me if you have any questionsChat Icon

Re: Ocean City, MD

Ive been there a bunch of times... When I was in my early 20's I stayed at alot of dive places so i wont recommend those but... For my bach party, I stayed at castle in the sand which was a nice hotel on the water and family friendly... Id go back there again

ETA: say the word baby and assumed you already had a fam LOL ... but its walking distance to seacrets.... totally cool outdoor bar... very popular both with tourists and locals!

I found a condo on CL. It was super cheap and on the beach.

Btw, they have awesome buffets! You have to try one.

Re: Ocean City, MD

BTW there are tax free outlets in Rehobeth, about 45 minutes north, if you want to do baby shopping!! My parents live in Bethany and just get me a Kate Spade diaper bag there.
