How and when did you . . .

Tell your family? My mom and I are super close, and I really want her to know. It's still really early (abt 4 weeks). But I feel like she should know. Definitely not ready to tell anyone but her. Not sure if I should tell her alone or with DH. All weekend I just wanted to come out n say it but I couldn't do it

With my first pregnancy, I tested the day before Mother's Day. I basically told her I was pregnant in the Mother's Day card the following day!! Bold move, I know.. I wasn't even 4wks yet since I tested early!!!


With this pregnancy, I did IVF and my mom basically knew when I was going to find out. I told her during dinner after I saw my bloodwork numbers were going up.

It's up to you how/when you tell her, though for me I always wanted to share it with her early on.

As soon as I took the pregnancy test I called my mom. She was the first person I told even before DH.
The my in-laws & my father were told after my first doctor appointment when I was 6 weeks.

I told my mom a few days after we found out I was probably around 5 weeks. I could not keep it in!

we told our parents at 8 weeks, the rest of the family after our 12 week apt.

I told my mom ASAP. First person after DH. Everyone else I kind of told as it came up, although I'm still not out of the woods yet (12 weeks Friday).

It was really hard for me not to tell my mom and sisters in the beginning. It was making me upset! So I told my mom about a week after we found out (at about 4 weeks). I told my sisters about a week later.

We told my inlaws and my dad after our NT scan. We weren't sure if my inlaws would be able to keep a secret, that's why we waited so long. And, we knew my dad wouldn't like it if everyone BUT my inlaws knew.

We started telling everyone else a few days later. Good luck!

told my mom and sister the day i found out i was preggers

told ILs at 8 weeks (big mistake bc they have been harassing me about telling the rest of the family ever since and have told some people even though we asked them not to)

told my dad and stepmom at 9weeks

today i am officially 12 weeks and have my NT screening. If all goes well we will go public to everyone (except my job)

I told my mom shortly before my 8 week appointment b/c my MIL figured it out, so I told my mom right after. Wasn't a bad thing. I was going to tell both of them at the 8 week sono b/c I was bleeding and wanted to make sure all was ok.

Anyway, LTS, I took pictures of the test. I had other pictures for her, so I gave her the envelope of pictures and the test pic was the last one. It took her a minute to figure it out.

I drove to my moms house with the HPT to ask her if she saw a line So she knew right when we did.

I found out at 3.5 weeks (tested early). We told our immediate families right away at 4 weeks.

told my family at 5w3d... we were in baltimore spending the weekend at my parents' 2br apt. it was my nephew's 1st birthday weekend. they would have known as soon as I declined a drink.

told MIL and SFIL at 10w2d. not sure when DH told his dad, but it was shortly after that.

I told my mother around 4 weeks, the day after I found out. We told DH's parents a couple of days later.
