? about gifts received before the shower.
what do you do if someone sends you a gift with a note saying they won't be able to make it to the shower? the package came to my house and the items inside weren't wrapped...do i just send a Thank you now? or should I just wait until after the shower to send all thank you's at the same time? I'm friends with this person on FB too...do i acknowledge it at all, or wait?

i recieved a few gifts from people who arent attending the shower and sent them thank yous the next day.. my shower is next weekend.

I see no reason why you should have to wait to open and acknowledge the gift. If your shower is not a secret than I'd definitely just open it and thank her for it and tell her that your sorry she won't be there. That's my opinion.

This happened to me as well. I had my thank you notes already, so I just wrote them out early to those who sent early gifts, thanked them and said that I would have loved to have seen them at the shower and that they would be missed sort of thing.

I sent them right away....otherwise you face the "did you get my gifts?" question - and I always feel bad that I wasn't quicker to show my appreciation.

I sent thank you's right away for the gifts I got before my shower. A couple people sent gifts before my shower and at my shower as well and they just got thank you'd twice.
