Ever been to Maine?
Hi All,
Im a newlywed and this is my first time on these boards. Nice to meet all of you!
My husband and I are interested in taking a trip to southern Maine in the coming weeks/months -- any recommendations for places to stay? I've never been but have heard great things.

Hello and welcome! I'm not a big help, but we rented a house in Kennebunkport when I was a kid. It was near a beach-type community with shops and restaurants. Hope this helps!

I've never been.
But you may want to do a search on the Travel board. You may find something over there.

I grew up in Maine. Sebago Lake and Old Orchard Beach are great places to visit. I would recommend a bed/breakfast over a hotel. Part of the charm is that small town feeling.

my husband used to go to Maine every year. They stayed at Point Sebago, its a camping resort, it has activities for adults, beaches, a golf course, boat rentals, zip lining etc..
