which place would you go for an LV bag?
Saks in walt whitman mall or macys in roosevelt field?
Both have LV stores. Macys closes later than saks.
LV mahasset is too annoying and closes early.

I'm not an expert of LV since I don't own one, but didn't I read here that if you get it at Macys you don't have the same service in terms of repairs. You can go to the Mile on Thurs is late night...

Its really whatever is easier for you. They are both LV stores -- inventory maybe a little different but if you know what you are going for then there is no difference.
As for repairs, your purchase goes into their system they can see exactly when and where you bought it. So if it you take to a store that does not do repairs right there they send it out to the store in the city.
I had to do that for mine and it was just fine. I think they had it for about two weeks.

I was at LV in Roosevelt Field over the weekend & they r renovating it so they only had a limited amount of merchandise on display a little to the right of where the LV store is.

I got mine at the Americana and had a very positive experience! Especially if you are getting your first one, there is somehting about a store like that that makes it special - at least to me it did.

I got one at an LV store (not in NY) and one at Macy's Roosevelt Field. I can't say either experience was better or worse. I knew exactly what I was getting each time, so I just walked in and out. I didn't need help or interact with the staff much.

DH got my bag at the store in Saks. He said "I'm looking to spend $800-1000." She brought him a bag that was $1300. So he wasn't crazy about that but He found the right bag for me after all!

I've been to the stores and I've been to the Macy's Dept (Herald Square) and the Bloomies (Manhattan) and the service has been impeccable all the locations.
If I know what I'm getting, I call the location directly, confirm the merchandise is in stock, and they hold it for me until the end of the day. I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes.
FYI: I have a macy's card, so I always go during the Holidays and use my card and get $1 back for every $100 that I spend!
