When to have baby shower?
If I'm duein mid-September, what do you think is the appropriate time for the baby shower?

Mid July? No later than beginning of August
With DS -My shower was Jan 20 and due date March 17 - I felt great - wasn't tired - wore heels and danced

I had mine at 32 weeks I thought it was perfect timing, I'd even go a bit later maybe 33-35 weeks, but that's just me.

I had mine at 33w and I think it would have liked it a little bit earlier...it was a long tiring day and I might have enjoyed it a little more like 2 weeks earlier.

I had mine at 30 weeks. I'm glad I had it early bc I was able to exchange or return all the stuff I didn't need and get the stuff I did while I still had the energy to do so. My energy level dropped ALOT at 34 weeks. Plus at 34 weeks is when I started to get uncomfortable. But of course everyone is different.

mine too! i think 2 months before is good. you won't be huge and will be able to socialize and enjoy yourself.

I agree with about 2 months before. That's when mine is - I'll be 30 weeks. It gives you time to set things up, do any necessary returns, and buy whatever else you might need.

Thats for all the input. I was thinking 2 months before, but unfortunately i have weddings 3 weekends in July.
Maybe the first week in August will work - I just don't want to be huge and uncomfortable. How dare people get married when I'm tyring to have a baby shower?

I think 30-32 weeks is a good time...take it from me, mine will be at 36 weeks and too late IMO. I am uncomfortable and feeling huge...I am also worried about being crammed for time to get everything ready.
My mom said to me the other day..."why in the world did I plan your shower for so late!"

Mine is 30.5 weeks. Would have done later but we had conflicts the next 2 weekends and decided 33.5 was a little late, especially since we will be moving somewhere around 34-37 weeks.
