Sorry, my good friend who failed said it is really a fine diet and if you stick to it, GD is completely manageable by dieting. It's not no carb either, it's about how food is combined.

I am sorry you failed the 3 hour! I am sure being on a diet is the LAST thing you need/want right now, plus the health concerns.

I was doing so well... then last night I read about it online... which I know I shouldn't have done...
But i've been crying ever since. it scared the crap out of me. I can't stop just crying all of a sudden.

I'm sorry u failed the 3 hour too, but its not quite as bad as you think, See the nutritionist and chat with all of us on here that have gd, after a few days you get the hang of it.

Step AWAY from the computer! All it does is scare the $hit outta you. I'm either dying or miscarrying everytime I use google. I would talk to your doctor, a nutritionist familiar with GD and if you need a specialist / high risk..I would recommend Kofinas. Everything is going to be ok.

Unfortunately, Kofinas doesn't take my insurance because he is in litigation with them. That's what they told me when I tried to make an appt with him a while back.
I hear he's really good though.

My high risk doctor is Dr. Bergman. He is great! I also like that he comes to LI Women's Healthcare twice a month...very convenient especially since I see him on days when I see my OB.
Does anyone recommend a nutritionist / dietician? (See how confident I am about the 3 hour...haha)

I took the three hour test Friday morning. It is now Tuesday afternoon and I have called the doctor's office twice to get my results. Of course I can't think about anything until I know if I passed or not.
