Ahh I took the 3 hour test yesterday!! UPDATED....
I really hope I passed!!
I don't think I posted that I failed the 1 hour. I was so upset that I cried over it. haha.
I also thought if I ate breakfast that morning thinking that I was doing good. I ate breakfast (eggs and dry toast) from 9:35 to 9:40... and then drank the drink from 9:40 to 9:45. I was pressed for time so I ate fast and basically washed it down with the orange drink.
Hopefully that's why I failed.
But anyway.. I took the 3 hour test yesterday. It was so not fun at all. The drink has more sugar in it than the 1 hour and even though the lady said I won't taste a difference.. I sure did.. I literally choked on it! haha.. it burned my throat going down!! Also, I only have ONE vein on my left arm for blood tests (I don't even have good veins in my hands or feet... all my veins but this ONE are deep set and you cannot get into them). I had a mark still there from the 1 hour test. And so she had to do ALL 4 blood tests in the same vein. She kept trying the other arm. She put the needle ALL the way in.. and NO BLOOD AT ALL would come out. She was just basically putting the needle into my skin... not even seeing a vein just feeling for one.. then she would wiggle around for a bit. it was really awful and painful. She even tried to put the needle into one of the small tiny veins you can see.. the needle was literally the size of the vein. That didn't work so well either... and it was quite painful as well.
After the 3rd test I was really about to lose it. Knowing there was only one more... I did my best to just hold it together. haha.
All i wanted was WATER!! I'm a huge water drinker... so the no water thing was not at all fun!!
But it's all over now. And I pray I NEVER have to take that test again!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me pass!!!!
UPDATE:
I failed the 3 hour as well. Not as much as I failed the 1 hour... but still enough to have to go see an Endocrinologist. 
And the one year I was really looking forward to an Easter Basket of candy too!!!

Hopefully you only failed the 1 hour because of the breakfast...my doctor suggested I fast b/c he said it decreases the risk for a false positive!

good luck! i still have a bruis on my arm from when i had my blood drawn for the 1 hour! a new nurse (in training) took my blood and it didnt hurt any more or less than when the usual nurse does it. so im shocked that i have a bruise still - i've never gotten bruised when the other nurse did it lol.

good luck!!
i have the same prob with my veins. everytime i get blood taken they have a really hard time finding a vein. if they do find one i get crazy bruises. they usually have to end up going in my hand though.

i went today for my 1hr. how long did it take before they called you back with results?
they told me to call the next morning. So I took the test at 10:40 am... and I called at like 9:30 the next morning and they had the results.

they told me to have breakfast as usual.
I normally would have just skipped breakfast and gone for the test. but that comment got me thinking.. and my thought was that having some bfast in my stomach would help absorb the sugar drink and thus help me.  and then I find out the opposite is true!! haha!!

omg what an awful experience!! i was mad that they did 2 needles in each arm in the same spot, i cant imagine 4!

The 3 hour drink DEFINITELY has more sugar in it. I didn't mind the 1 hour, the 3-hour drink was horrbile though. I had that awful taste in my mouth the whole time.

That is probably why you failed, my doctor said to fast starting at midnight, im only allowed a little water, he said any food can throw the test off.

I usually don't mind blood tests in that one arm... but I've never had more than one a time. By the 3rd one it was hurting.. and by the 4th on in the same vein.. it was a real strong pinch... and honestly my arm was sore for the day.
I literally have 5 little holes all in a row on my arm. 
most important is that my vein is OK, being that it's the only one i have.. I need it to last me all my life for any future blood work!!

hhmmmm... wish I knew that before I took the 1 hour.
I know now.
I failed by like 30 points. But IDK how bad or not bad that is.

Since the lady told me it tasted the same... I drank it like it was the first one.. My first sip was really 3 big gulps... and omg... I started choking and tearing up!!! WAS NOT AT ALL THE SAME TASTE!!! hahahaha!!
the first one was like a quarter water from the 80s!!! haha!!!

i really doubt you failed solely because you ate breakfast. dr. G's office told me to eat too. i didnt, but only because i never eat at that time of the day. but for our office its completely normal to be told to eat before so i highly doubt that would make you fail considering its the same thing they tell everyone.

then why would the info that they give us specifically say to eat breakfast  just seems odd that they would tell you to do something that could adversely effect the results.
i think im going to call tomorrow for my results..although part of me just wants to wait it out and hope they dont call first.. i feel like its def possible that i fail cause ive eaten a TON of sweets the pregnancy

IDK. But I'm not blaming the office.
They actually said "eat breakfast as usual". So IDK that they were necessarily saying "make sure you eat breakfast before you go" but since they mentioned breakfast to me... i thought hmmm I should make SURE i eat breakfast before I go. And I LITERALLY washed my breakfast down with the drink because we were on a time constraint to get there.
I also have a friend on here who was taking the test later in the day... she was told to stop eating 2 hours prior to the test... so stop eating then 1 hour later drink the drink, then another 1 hour later blood test.
I'm not saying it def caused me to fail.. but the lady who does the 3 hour tests at the clinic did say it could be a definite factor... and combined with what other people were told to do... it's def on my mind. Also, the 1 hour test bottle says to fast for 12 hours before drinking the drink.
I will say... the dr office DID NOT tell me to fast for the 3 hour test and I spoke with them twice; when I found out I failed, then I had to call back when I made the appt so they knew to fax the script and neither time was it mentioned. She did ask if it was my first pregnancy, which I said yes. Then she told me about how the drink tastes... but NOTHING about fasting at all.
I called the dr office back 2 days before I was going to take the test to ask if I should fast because they didn't mention it to me at all. She said YES make sure you fast... no food or water after 10pm the night before.
Oh and yes.. call them for results. Because they told me I had to call back... so I don't think they plan to call you.

Wow that drink was sweet! She drew blood 4x from the same arm...I can connect the dots!! So glad that's over but I really hope I passed.
