Advice on bringing additional income...
while being a stay at home mom. We decided that going back to work just wont work for us. I have long hours at work and on top of that my commute to the city is brutal and daycare is extremely expensive. What jobs can you do from home or possibly work on weekends or nights? Is anyone else thinking of doing the same.

Waitress at night? Work for a catering company on weekends?
I wish I could offer more! I would LOVE to find something I could do at home!

A gf of mine works retail for Juicy at the mall nights/wknds, and she started at just 2 days a week. Also home depot I know gives great benefits to P/T employees. Good luck!

Waitressing can be amazing money. I waitressed at a diner in college and worked 4 shifts and made 100 in tips each shift plus about 75 dollars at the end of the week in my check... and defiitly flexable

My friend had twins last year.. she started making homemade meals for working moms in the area. They would it pick it up from her.. after work. It takes a bit of planning and getting to you know your clients. Some "buy dinner" from her 3 or 4 times a week.

Re: Advice on bringing additional income...
I am! I'm thinking of waitressing again part time. I really dont want to go back to teaching right away. It's a long day and a long commute, and I don't want to be gone that long during the newborn phase. I will be depressed.

I started doing lia sophia jewelry -
there are other jewelry companies, you can also look into Tupperware, Partylite, Pampered Chef, Slumber Parties, etc.
You make your own schedule

This is a fantastic idea! I wouldn't cook, but I would be interested in being a client if she was near me.

I know right, I wish there was someone near me who did this. She's in Cherry Hill. A lot of the mommies work in Philly and Trenton, so it works out great for her.

Re: Advice on bringing additional income...
I'm a Pampered Chef consultant, which is a good way to bring in extra money. I don't do it often, but I do love getting those commission checks - and free products!
If you're interested, feel free to FM me and ask me questions.
The good thing about that is that you can do as little or as much as you want. And if you do well, you earn free family vacations.
Good luck!

Re: Advice on bringing additional income...
I just started selling Avon. you make 20-40% of whatever you sell. It may not be alot of extra income, but it works for us so far.
