Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I love glass for food storage. I just bought two sets of glass locks from organize.com. I have a discount link for $5 off from them here on blog . They are air tight to keep everything fresh and you go from fridge to freezer to oven to microwave. I love the way they make cabinet so neat.

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I have plastic BPA free food storage containers with lids. I use glass mason jars for sugars flour nuts pasta ect.. but for leftover food I use the plastic containers. Glass is heavy and Im afraid to if I or my kids drop ...that the end of that.
Home Good has a great selection of both of glass & BPA free plastics.

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I have both, I bring my lunch to work a couple days a week so the plastic is good for that.
I want to recc the Tupperware Vegetable and Fruit savers, my strawberries last at least a week and a half in them, no exaggeration. I LOVE them and am buying more since I have been keeping a lot more fruit since it lasts longer in these containers.

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I lost of my REAL tupperware and I could not shell out the $$$ for new one. So I asked for non BPA containers. I was told to look into Pyrex.
I LOVE THEM! I got a 14 pc and a 6 pc package with lids. It's great. Does not absorbe odor or stain.

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
FYI, be very careful with pyrex!!! I had a one shatter into a million pieces when placing a hot dish onto the top of my stove... looked it up on the net and there are many complaints of this... I will never buy pyrex ever again and I used to swear by it

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I second the sentiments about Pyrex. I had one burst in the oven on me. I was making pork chops and it just shattered!

Glass is the best in my opinion. It may be alittle more expensive but its the healthiest and safest way to go in my opinion.

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
I use glass or the actual Tupperware brand as they are made the best and the only plastic containers safe to use in a microwave

Re: "tupperware"/food storage
thanks everyone! I went to BBBY yesterday and picked up a 12 pc to test. So far so good at lunch today. I actually liked that the bowl was still a bit chilly coming out of the micro, but the food was hot.
I may pick up some more, but at least i have some for now.
