I REALLY am Pregnant
SO I had a TTC appointment with Maternal-Fetal already schedualed for today and since I made it awhile ago I didn't cnx it. I got there and told them I was pg and the nurse was so excited for me! She remembered us from being there while pg w/Emmy and said she was so glad we were doing well.
The doc and I talked about the RA, all the meds, and so on. We decided on a tx plan and she is very up on the newest research which is FANTASTIC!!!
Anyway the best part was she did an u/s. I told her I was just 5wks and she said well lets just see. There was a sac I know that's not much but for 5w0d roughly that's more then most see!!!! I go back on the 18th for an other u/s to make sure we see a pole and hb, but I am just so freaking excited!! My DH is excited as well, but I think it's because I won't keep buying pg tests...

How exciting! What did they decide? Are they going to do prednisone, enbrel, just wean and wait?

She supported me going off of the sulfasalazine and plaquenil. I'll stay on the pred 5mg and see what happens. Right now i'm ok, a bit more sore, but not as bad as it should be. We're hopeful i'll go into some form of remission. I asked about Enbrel and she said she would look into it more but gave me a bunch of lit about it. She didn't object to it and said it could be an option if I bf again. The problem is I don't think my rheumy is as "advanced" as she is. He's kinda old school. So the plan is wait and see. I can up the pred to 10mg if I need to, but i'm hoping in the next few weeks to wean off of it completely.
