Dropping the baby weight?

I know this has been asked a million times on here but lately I am struggling with losing the last 10lbs of both my pregnancy weights...How do you all do it & how long did it take?

I am currently doing WW but not working out unless it is a nice day & I can do a 45 minute powerwalk with the boys & have only dropped 8.5lbs since January. I have absolutely NO time to do workouts at home unless it is 9pm & then I risk waking both boys since the treadmill is in the office between the boys rooms. DH is no help with giving me extra time to do something...

I was just looking at pictures from before I got pregnant with DS#1 & I would do anything to get back to that even though I would ultimately like to lose another 10 from there. Some family members are doing P90X & have dropped 12lbs in 3 weeks...I am so dreading summer & the nicer weather just bc I can't drop this weight....DH even commented last night, you still have that "pregnancy' pouch Chat Icon

Re: Dropping the baby weight?

If you have some time at night, I would try the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels. The video is tough, but it works. By the time you finish it, it should be nice enough to walk. Also, what about power walking in the mall? I used to go in the mornings when I was pregnant, but they are pretty much empty all day long, so that is an idea. I'm sorry your husband said that to you! Mine would have a death wish to make a comment like that! Don't let it get you down though...flip his stupid comment around as motivation. WW is great....I am doing it now as well...it's a long road, but will be worth it in the end!

i was going to suggest this too! Its only a 20 minute work out (though with the strestches its about 30 minutes) i have been doing it at least 4-5 times a week. I ususally get up though between 5:30am and 6am while the baby is still sleeping and before i got to work!

Re: Dropping the baby weight?

I can't really give you any advice since I am in the same exact position you are.

I am 7.5 mos PP and cannot for the life of me drop the last 10 lbs.

I started WW 4 weeks ago, but I'm finding it really difficult so I switched to South Beach this week.

I did South Beach right before my wedding and lost 10 lbs quick, so I'm hoping to be able to do it again.

ITA with 30 day shred. I did this while I was on maternity leave.

I go to gym at my lunch hour during work 3 days a week and on the weekends when it is nice I intentionally take the kids out in the double stroller during their naptime so I can walk for at least 1-2 hours uninterrupted.

When we are at the playground, I chase older DS around while pushing DD in the stroller. They love it!

I miss doing the 30 day shred!! The problem with that is, once Riley is in bed, and the dinner is made/eaten, last thing I want to do is work out. I hate working out after dinner.Chat Icon

But yes, that video is a great option!

Re: Dropping the baby weight?

I decided to do a Total Body Shaping class, it's 10 weeks long and we are in week 4 right now. Definitely kicks my behind!

We have our 1/2 way weigh in next week, I hope I lost some lbs. I do feel a difference in my stomach though, my little pouch is shrinking. Chat Icon
