Ladies who use Mid Suffolk Pediatrics.....

I called Mid Suffolk Pediatrics and asked what they do with regard to meeting with the doctor for like an interview.

I was told we do not meet with the doctor. We meet with a woman who takes us on a tour and can answer our questions.

Did you ladies get to meet the doctor? I thought the whole point of interviewing was so that we could see if we liked the doctor.

I can tell you that my sister and I were patients of Mid Suffolk, and we had Dr. Berman (don't know if he's still there). The office personal were very good to us and my mother always liked them.

But that's bizzarre they didn't do an interview. I'll have to ask my mom if she did that.

I never did an interview there. But I can tell you I LOVE the office. Ive seen many of the drs and they are all wonderful. I take both DS's to see Tracey Manners and shes an absolute sweet heart

Yeah, they told me the same thing when we were looking... I then told them "thanks anyway". I also felt like the whole point in interviewing ped was to actually met the doctors! I could care less what the waiting room looked like - I wanted medical questions answered and to know that I felt comfortable with the dr's.

My DC's are patients there (Hauppauge)

We were given a tour by a woman, were very impressed with the office and later chose a ped...There are quite a few doctors there and we schedule well visits with the same ped , but see whiuchever Dr. is available for sick visits...In 5 years, I have never had a ped there that I didnt care for

I wouldn't go w/o meeting the dr - we are going to 2 diff places and meeting the drs. No issues.

The same thing happened with us with their Mt. Sinai office. We thought we were going to meet with one of the doctor's and ended up meeting with one of the nurses who answered all our questions and gave us a tour of the practice.

The other 3 practices we interviewed, we all got to meet with one of the doctor's in the practice and were introducted to the staff and other doctor's if they were available.

I had a meeting set up but ended up delivering DC before I got to go to the appointment, but I can tell you that I do like the office. I ended up staying with the doctor that I got when DC first came home from the hospital because he needed to be seen soon, but I like Dr. Berman best

We go to mid-suffolk, and yes, you just meet with a woman who will show you around. There are no less than 10 Drs in the office, so its impossible to meet with all of them. What I do like is some of them have different styles and opinions, so you can feel them out and stick with the one you like best. I LOVE all of them, but Dr Mitsu Kee was my favorite. So for all non sick visits where appts are made in advance, we always make them with her.

Honestly though, they are ALL fabulous. Berman and Hofelina are great, Dr Allison Lasner is a friend of mind and she is wonderful (I met her at a mommy and me group after I chose mid-suffolk, so Im not biased, LOL).

Dr.Berman is still there
