I was done with DD's nursery by 26 weeks. This baby's sex wasn't confirmed until my 20 week ultrasound, and I started ordering stuff right away....still working on it.

Re: When did you start your nursery?

We started clearing out the room very early and then we had a big lull and moved the rest of the stuff out months later. Room was painted at around 25 weeks and floors were done at around 28 weeks. Furniture just got delivered last week at 30 weeks. I have been ordering stuff for months and will be completing the rest of the nursery (bedding, decals, closet organization) within the next week or so. I hope to be complete by 33 weeks.

Re: When did you start your nursery?

Im 37 weeks today and we still haven't started.Chat Icon

We were finishing our basement to be the new playroom, since it was in the 3rd bedroom. Our furniture has been in for a while just not delivered yet. I think I finally found bedding I like too. It will probably be started this week but won't be complete till after he's born. I'm ok with that though. The bassinet is already set up.

Re: When did you start your nursery?

hmm let me think....the room we changed to teh nursery was a living room so little by little we had to move out the furniture. we also at the same time were re-doing another bedroom for DH's 2 sons. we couldnt start the nursery part until that was done since they stay and played in that room.
i think we were doing all that around 23 weeks. we painted, did carpet, started furniture during 24-27 weeks

Re: When did you start your nursery?

27 weeks here....

last few items to clean out, furniture has arrived, but not delivered. Need to paint, and already have our gender neutral bedding....

I am hoping to get it all squared away within the next 2 weeks.

Re: When did you start your nursery?

With Emmy is was done by our shower at 28wks. For this baby who knows. We'll take it step by step. Barley will have the same nursery so when we can find out the gender it will determin if we'll paint or not. Also Emmy will be about 22months when #2 comes....we will decide 2 months before if she is ready for a big girl bed or if we need to order another crib.
