Like the baby monitor... $270!!

Is that silly to feel guilty?

Or can I assume that maybe a few people can go in on it?

The one I'm looking at is 250!!

I really don't have too many $50-75 items... mostly over $80-100!

It's not on purpose... I'm just going by reviews and Baby Bargains book ratings.

I would say leave ur registry as it. If people dont wan to buy u something off it because its too $ then they will probably give u gift cards and u can get the stuff if those.

I registered for what I wanted regardless of the price, if something is too $$ then they won't buy it for you, you can always buy it urself afterwards.

You'd be surprised how generous some people can be when it comes to a baby Chat Icon

I am the exact same way as you. I feel guilty about EVERYTHING. I didn't put things on the registry that I wouldn't buy myself.

I take things to extremes though. I registered for a $34 thermometer even though I really want the forehead scanner. It was $60 at BRU and only $30 on Amazon. I feel bad asking someone to spend that much on a thermometer soooo....I'm going to return the one off my registry and buy the one off Amazon.

Also remember there are some people who will chip in together to buy more expensive items.

At my shower, my two best friends chipped in to buy my stroller. DH's two aunts chipped in to buy the car seat and a few other smaller items.

Register for what you want -- it will work out.

Register for what you want, but I would try to put a variety of price points on there.

Same here....but people will buy what they want, so many times I go in on group gifts to get someone a more exspensive item - it all works out in the end Chat Icon I switched my bedding to a pricier Glenna Jean set - I'm hoping someone gets it for us - if not I'm ok with buying it too - I'm in love with it.

i felt the same way and i swear within a week of my invites going out...every big ticket item was bought. and TWICE....yes TWICE...i added a big ticket item and within 2 hours it was bought!
sometimes people wanna go in on gifts together and those really big ticket items are perfect for that situation. leave as is, just make sure you have an array of prices to appeal to everyone

Listen, register for whatever you want. People can get you what's on there or get you gift cards. There is no point in registering for lesser things. I did that and ended up going and buying what I really wanted and wasting money. Just pointless.

Remember, there is always the gift cards. And there will likely be things on there that you won't need right away, so if you find that people don't buy you those bigger ticket items, you can get them at a later date.

Register for everything that you want and don't worry about the price. A lot of the baby things that are needed (car seats, strollers, monitor, etc) are expensive, and people will go in on a present together to get them for you.
I just had my shower and almost all of the larger gifts were bought.

I think it's fine to have higher priced items on there. Some people pitch in and close family members might want to spend extra money. If nothing else and it doesn't get bought you usually get a discount on your registry items at the end!

I'd just be sure to add a fair amount of lower priced items to keep it balanced. I thought I'd have a hard time with this but as I kept adding things I realized it was pretty easy to find things that weren't super expensive that I still wanted and needed.

Re: I feel guilty registering for expensive baby stuff...

My rule for registering, whether it was bridal or baby, was, if I wasn't prepared to buy it for myself or someone else, it didn't go on my registry.

all of my big stuff (except for my video monitor which was $200) was bought including my almost $400 bedding!!

Just make sure there are all different price points on there.

I have 2 or 3 very expensive items on my registry but don't expect to receive those from anyone. I put them on there so I can receive 10% off of them in the registry completion programs when I go buy it myself after the shower Chat Icon
