Hairdryer for the hospital?
I know this is kinda a silly question, but did any of your BTDT (or those who are packing for the first time) bring a hairdryer to fix your hair at the hospital? I feel like I might look a little nuts blowing my hair out at the hospital but I really don't like how it looks if I just let it air dry LOL. I imagine it will be pretty gross and sweaty after labor so I don't think I'll be willing to just skip washing it.

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
I brought mine and did blow dry my hair the morning after I delivered DS. I wanted to look decent and feel good.

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
I brought a small portable one but I wasn't there long enough to use it. It was important to me though. My hair looks AWFUL when I don't blow it out.
I actually had blown out my hair while I was in labor, about an hour before I went to the hospital. I was in the shower timing contractions and I knew I had to do a good job blowing my hair out. I was only in the hospital 2 days, so I just didn't wash my hair while I was there. Showering was not very comfortable (I had a LOT of stitches from a bad tear) so I just basically got in and used the hand-held sprayer to clean myself off as good as I could. It was kinda nice not having to worry about my hair.

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
I brought one because my hair is super thick and takes forever to airdry. I doubt I'll do a full blowout, but I figured I could do the front and some of the back. I'm also going to try to shower and dry my hair when I'm laboring at home (we'll see how that goes, haha) that way I won't have to wash my hair when I'm in the hospital.

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
I didn't even think about it. I felt like cr@p after I had DS and didn't care what my hair looked like. I just brushed it a lot...

Never crossed my mind either. I didn't wash my hair in the hospital. Honestly didn't get that sweaty during labor. I washed and blew out my hair while I was in labor, before going to the hospital, and then I just brushed it while I was there. I gave birth late on a Thursday night, and was discharged Saturday morning, so there was no need to wash my hair while I was there. And I tried the best I could to pack light and boy am I glad I did! Bare necessities!

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
yes, I brought my blow dryer and my straightener. You are def. going to want to shower, and I have to do my hair after...I didn't go crazy with it, but made it look presentable!

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
I would bring one!
I wanted too but I was blow drying my hair right before I was going to the hospital and Dr. Pilliteri called me and yelled at me to get to the hospital because I had preeclampsia and i dropped it in the toilet!
I would have definitely used it if I had one with me though!

Re: Hairdryer for the hospital?
Thanks everyone! As some of you mentioned, I'm not even sure I'll feel up to using it but I might really want to. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought of this!
