Mine never did...just constantly nauseous.

I definitely had to be careful about not eating too much. Little meals throughout the day!

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

In the beginning all I did was throw up - no matter how much how little or what I ate
I think it is all going to be what your body needs to do
Sorry and I hope you feel better - talk to your Dr - I went on zofran (after throwing up 14 times a day and being dehydrated) and it has been a relief for me - I am 37w and I am still on it as I still have nausea all day

I was nauseous most days from weeks 5-13.

I was actually throwing up probably 4 days out of each week.. some being just 1 or 2 times in the morning and sometimes throwing up ALL day long, not being able to keep anything down. Chat Icon

I hope you feel better soon!! Chat Icon

I highly recommend CARBS Chat Icon

Starting my day early with carbs definitely helped. A trick I figured out at the tail end was to keep a bag of pretzels in my nightstand... and eat a handful of them before even getting out of bed. Also, I figured out that my all day sick events always happened on the weekend, which I now think was because I slept a little later.. therefore ate later and screwed me up for the day.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

I have nausea almost non-stop throughout the day. It's usually better if I have something in my stomach.

I threw up every day at least once from weeks 6 -12. I am 14 weeks now and still puking sometimes and still have nausea a lot. I feel like complete shiiiiiiiit.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

Only if I start coughing....My allergies are kicking lately, and if I start coughing, it's a safe bet, I'm going to get sick.

It's like the gag reflex is hypersensitive and just waiting right there for any slight trigger all the time!

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

for the entire first trimester I was nauseous most of the day but only puked in the morning when I brushed my teeth. My nausea would go away once I ate, even though it's the last thing u want to do.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

I was nauseous starting at 5 weeks, non-stop. Then at 6w3d it turned into nausea + vomiting. 8w3d was the last time I puked. 8w4d I felt nauseous. After that... I've felt nauseous on and off, but NOTHING like it was before, and I'm almost back to eating normal stuff. But not quite.

My nauseau went away. I feel foolish to be sad about that, but at least it was a symptom. Now I only have sore boobs and gas. My appt Thursday can't get here any sooner.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

I was nauseous until 16 weeks with regular puking. I still get nauseous regularly (35 weeks) but I think the last time I actually got sick was around 30 weeks.

Nothing to be alarmed at....just part of it all unfortunately.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

I'm 6 weeks and nauseous and puking sometimes. I have found that sipping milk when I first get up makes it a little better.
I also can not eat a large meal. It always sneaks up on me. I will be having a great eating day and sit down to dinner, eat what was a normal size portion and running to the bathroom I go.

Re: nausea vs. actual puking

I vomit repeatedly throughout the day, no matter what I eat. I'm most likely going to have to get medicine at my next appointment.
