Lake George- Want to make accomodations for this summer...help

I want to go with our entire family and I hear its great to visit and with lots to do.

IDK where to start so I would like to get ideas, suggestions, etc.

I hear to book anything, now is the time esp if I want to do a cabin or cottage.

We went to Ridin Hy ranch last summer and liked it so much that we booked for this summer before we left.

It's in Lake George vicinity, but on a different lake. Horseback riding every day, hay rides, a rodeo, hiking, and swimming and fishing in the lake. All meals included. DD loved it too. It's not flashy, no water slides, no character breakfasts or anything like that...just plain family fun.

We just booked a cabin at Lake George last month for 8 adults and 3 young children. ALOT of places were booked up, we found a cabin that sleeps 8 for a decent price. But I would definitely get a move on, the owner told me people had been booking stuff since last summe!

I've been a number of times and I'm a fan of the Great Escapes Lodge - it's family oriented and with your room you get unlimited access to the INDOOR waterpark which is really nice... especially on a rainy day!
