Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
I started when DD was 2.4. DD was 2 in July and we were out and about as it was summer it was just easier to keep her in pampers and start in the fall when we were home more. Once I started she got the hang of it quickly.

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
I trained johnny at 2 years 10 months.
I am thinking of starting this summer with Ryan when he turns 2.
He is already going on the potty every day (he asks me) and so many people have told me the earlier you start the easier it is. I totally believe that! But it goes hand in hand with readiness i'm sure. If Ryan were showing NO signs or interest i'd hold off till 2.5.
In my experience from friends/family, those who waited had a harder time than those who started earlier.

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
DS is only 13 months now, but he is super interested in the potty. I did get him one b/c it was on sale LOL. But right before he poops he looks at me and says "oh oh" and then looks away and says "poooo" ... seconds later theres a funny smell in the air HA. So he's catching on that he needs to go poo... so who knows...maybe I'll try it one day. His potty is still in the box. I'm in no rush, but if I can get him out of diapers sooner then later, I'm all for it! HA

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
We started a couple of weeks before Christmas. A few weeks shy of DS being 2.5.
I think he got the hang on peeing pretty quick. But he still poops in his pullup during naptime

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
DD #1- 2.5 years
DD #2- 18 months
DD #1 was in diapers until around her 3rd birthday. Honestly, i wish we had tried sooner.
DD#2 was interested in the potty as 15 months. bought one and she didn't touch it until she was 18 months. She's now 21 months and i hope to have her potty trained by 2 years old. She may have other ideas though

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
11m, I started putting him on it before his bath. He almost always pees and he loves to hear the music when he does. I'm starting to notice that he really can control his bladder, because even after he's peed it all into his diaper, he still manages to pee a few drops, enough for the music
He asks for it (signs potty) during the day, but honestly, I think he wants to play with it more than pee in it. I keep it in the bathroom, just for pee before bath.
I don't have any goal for when we will be finished potty training

I talked to a lot of people about this, peds, psychologists, if they are giving a sign, there is no reason why you shouldn't go with it. But for me it was to hard to know if he's asking for the potty because he wants to play with it or really use it. (he likes to put his little shape shorter shapes in it )
I was told some babies can have really good control early. DS seems to be one of those. He signals when he's about to pee and poop too, but its not that obvious if you aren't staring at him.

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
I first tried with DS at 2y5m and he just started holding it. He wouldnt pee or poop unless I put a pull up or diaper on. So I felt he wasnt ready
THen I did it again at 2y10 and he was pee pee trained in 1 day. I can literally count on one hand hte number of accidents we have had in the last 4+ months. As for poop he would hold that and gave himself severe constipation so we have spent the last 3 months trying to deal with that. He still does poop in a pull up but at least he is no longer constipated!

Re: What age did you start potty training your DC?
2.5 right now and doesn't care if she's got a pocket full of pee.
BUT she goes on the potty at school. So I believe she'll be trained by end of summer. She's staying with my aunt so I think she'll push it. Me, I haven't pushed it at all. I ask but she doesn't want to go on the potty.
