Silly strangers
So i will be 20 weeks tomorrow with a precious baby boy. So far so good however, i always worry that everything is ok. Silly people always find it necessary to share horror stories. Today I am in church and after realizing I am pregnant, the lady next to me decides to share with me that her daughter lost her baby on 3/1 at 22 weeks. Very sad bit honestly, I dont need to hear this. I am nervous enough! Ugh. Just needed to vent so that I can channel good positive thoughts back in.

Re: Silly strangers
Wow, her daughter had that loss two weeks ago. I agree it wasn't necessary to bring that up to a happy pregnant lady, but it must have been in the very front of her mind since the news is all so fresh.
Coming from someone who had a loss later on (17wks) I know it's easy to be caught up in your own emotions and not realize at the time that you are saying the wrong thing.
The reason it's a big deal when you hear of someone having a loss that late is because it's VERY rare. Just keep reminding yourself of that. I know for me, that's the only way I will get through any of my future pregnancies!

OMG, I hysterically cried during that part, not normally like shaking crying.

Re: Silly strangers
Honestly, I would have said something. ....along the lines, "that's really not a smart thing to talk about with a pregnant woman" :rolleyes
I worry enough, I don't need anyone to give me something more to obsess over. I really hope no one is stupid and inconsiderate enough to share something like that with me, because I can see myself losing it. I am really sorry you had to go thru that.
