Talk to me about Deanna's plan
Ok, I get the gist of it but Im curious to know:
1-How many of you have tried it and have been successful?
2-How long did it take to get a BFP with this method?
3- Is this method aimed at certain types of women like, those TTC #2, infertility issues or if you're over a certain age? Or does it really apply to anyone TTC?

we did it.. instead of cd 8, we started later bc i was using OPK and followed through.. we started cd12..we tried our second month.. just wanted to cover all bases..i'm in my 20s, and we were trying for our first.. we wanted to maximize our chances.. so we followed through..

I'm a HUGE advocate for this plan!! LOVE it!! i think it really does work. I know a few girls it worked for.
Including myself!!!! I think it can apply to anyone ttc... I would check with a dr is there's sperm count issues though.
but anyway... I tried it... and it can be a hard plan to follow. It's a lot of work... ESP if you ovulate late in your cycle, which I do. the cycle i got a BFP I didn't O until CD 21!!!
Because of that I didn't start  until CD10 instead of 8.
I also used the CBEFM which gives you about 2 high days (meaning peak, which is ovulation is about to come) and then after the high readings you get 2 peak (you are ovulating within this time frame) and then one high day... so it increases knowing your high fertility time; which OPK's don't do.
So I incorporated BOTH into my plan. Deanna's Plan says to start BD every day once you get a smiley on the OPK.... well since I had high readings before a "smiley" which would be a peak reading... I would BD every single day for all the high days and peak days.
Does this make sense? Basically it's like deanna's plan but with extra BD sessions in there. So deanna's plan on crack if you will.
I started deanna's plan over the summer sometime. BUT we had a few screwed up months in there. One month DH was sick and we couldn't really follow the plan. things just happened. I'd say we did it dead on target like 3 cycles and the 3rd one being the on crack version which was the one that got me pregnant.
I swear this plan works. And one reason it works is because it helps your SO sperm get used to creating more and then off they go and then create more and off they go, etc. It prepares his spermies during those BD sessions you are having that you aren't ovulating for. Then when O comes you have a little army in there waiting for that egg to come!!!

Wow, thanks for all the information. Im thinking of trying it this month. My cycles are pretty average..so far Ive been having 25 day cycle and usually O on CD12-13. So should I start on CD8 or later? Thanks again.

GOOD DECISION to do Deannas Plan!!!! GO FOR IT!!
it's a lot of work... but it's really worth it!! When it works for you you will be as much of an advocate as I am!!!
If I were you I would start on CD 8 for sure!!! Don't start late if you O in a relatively normal time frame, like you do.
I used to take a calendar and mark off all the days to just to keep track of it.
If I were you I would do the first cycle like this:
CD 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and if your up for it a CD15 too.
If that doesn't work... then I'd do the next cycle a day earlier... CD 7, CD9, CD11, CD12, CD13, CD14 and maybe a CD15 too.
your cycle looks a lot better than mine did!! Wow that O'ing earlier sure makes a baby dancing difference!!! my list of days just went on and on and on!!! haha!!!

PS - I found for me personally the few days BEFORE O (smiley OPK) days were the most important to for.
I know the actual session that got me pregnant... and it was the day before I had that first peak ovulation day.
That's why i say get some days in a row right before you ovulate along with the days in a row during ovulation.

 Wow, that is a lot of lovin!  But at least your DH is up for it. Im hoping my DH does. He told me he is up for trying it but I wouldnt be surprised if he backs out (because hes tired and stuff)

Opps. I read the PP question wrong. I thought she said she has a 28 day cycle not that she O'd on CD28...in that case I agree with the above post...you can start CD10 or a little later.

i followed Deanna's plan and i had the CBEFM.... basically what MrsKS said is right on the head!
I LOVE the CBEFM!! Start your daily sessions from the high days on the CBEFM and do it everyday for all highs and peak days.
I normally had 2 to 3 high days before the peak started. One month I skipped a test by accident and i was all screwed up for like 2 or 3 months in total because of it. So frustrating. But once it all straightened out, I would have 2 to 3 high days first then the 2 peak and the last one high.
and with both of these methods (CBEFM and Deanna's Plan)... I'm thinking I shall be seeing you over on the preg boards really soon!!
