I can't remember the last time I wore stockings, but I would think the nude stocking thing could be a really cool retro (as opposed to "dated") look--like Mad Men!

I haven't worn nude stockings/pantyhose since my college days... which was close to 20 years ago! I just hate them!
In the winter, I will wear opaque tights with my skirts/dresses and boots.

My legs still look great, i work out etc.
One day yes my legs are not gonna look so hot anymore and i will have to wear them

I hate them but I don't feel that anything looks normal with business suits anymore. I do have some skirt suits. Sometimes the opaque ones clash with the shoes. Where do people get good quality opaque ones anyway? I have had some that held up terribly.

all you need is the right color and you're set. i get ones that match my skin color and my legs look sooooo much better with them. (in the winter months)

I work in a VERY fashion-forward office. We're all young (in our 20's and 30's) and we're in the fashion/cosmetic industry. When a woman here wears a skirt suit or a business dress, it's not uncommon at all to see them wearing nude stockings with it. In fact, I'm wearing them today with a black pencil skirt. As long as they're not the cheapo ones that are super shiny or orange-y they look great.

I would feel really strange not wearing stockings with a skirt suit. I don't really care if it's a dated look. I think it looks more professional than not wearing any stockings. I'm not sure if opaque stockings would look good with anything other than a black suit in a business formal environment.

they are either too light or too dark
sometimes too thick
sometimes too shiny
all of my thoughts exactly. If i cant wear tights, then the skirt/dress waits til spring when i can go bare legged

I don't have a problem with how stockings look, but I find them very uncomfortable to wear! They never fit right & I feel like I'm constantly tugging at them to keep them up & I get rips in them so easily. So I hardly ever wear them, except when it's cold out & I'm getting dressed up (which is rare because I mostly only wear pants in the winter except for a wedding or something like that).

I HATE stockings..but since I have had my daughter I HATE my legs!!!! I have stretch marks and veins now on my calf and I feel like I have to wear them.. I get embarrassed in the summer now because I am scared to wear shorts/or dresses.

When it's warm enough to go bare, try Sally Hansen's Air Brush Legs.
That stuff is amazing.
Hides veins, stretch marks, gives some color, makes your legs look awesome!Total waterproof and touch proof - you have to use a washcloth in the shower to get it off.
I LOVE it.

I wear stocking everyday. I cant stand seeing a woman in a suit without stockings on.
ITA. In business I think legs should not be bare, either stockings that match the skin and are very sheer(not like the hooters girls) or tights if appropriate for the outfit, in social settings I like bare legs.
