which maclaren for a second stroller?
I have a City Mini and I mostly love it, but I'm thinking sometimes I might want something even lighter and have been looking into the Maclarens, but it's making my head spin so I thought I'd ask the experts? What's the best one for a lightweight second stroller for a city dweller? TIA!

I have the maclaren quest and love it. The only con for me on this stroller is the shade, I think they should definitely make it bigger.

I just got the UppaBaby GLuxe and LOVE it. It's the lightest weight umbrella stroller out there - has a carry strap...stands on its own when folded which could be good for you if you are in the city - can stand on a bus or subway if you ever have it folded.
It reclines, folds so easily...has a great sun shade and is so much cheaper than the Maclarens that are similar to it.

Same and I agree. But, I purchased the Protect-a-bub sunshade and it works great! It's like $20-$25 (target, BBB, BRU)

I have the Maclaren Triumph as my 2nd stroller... love it!! the only thing it doesnt recline, however I just told my gf to get it as her 2nd stroller & she said it does recline so they must have updated it since I got mine!! I believe its the cheapest model of maclaren's

I thought the Volo was the cheapest and does not recline?

I love my Triumph! It is lightweight, and it does recline. It was a great price too.

I think the quest weighs less then the city mini I always keep the quest in my truck now the city mini is just sitting in the garage at this point. I do really love the sunshad on the city mini and I wish the Maclaren did have a bigger sunshade but I might pick up that thing the OP put on

I too have the mini and the quest. The quest is considerably lighter than the mini - I saw that the quest is listed at 12lbs, no way.
I think the G stroller someone mentioned is nice too but thenweight limit is only 40lbs whereas the quest goes to 55 (maybe more?).

When it was just DS, I had the Quest and loved it! So much so, that when I needed a twin stroller I stuck to Maclaren. I have their Twin Triumph as well.
ETA: As others have said, the sun shade on the top isn't that great, but it's never bothered me.
