I like it!
I am trying to move past the female Ryan I knew and disliked as a teenager
But I do like the name for a girl!
Oy don't you hate when that happens!!
you could like or love a name but then it's someone's name that you don't like and it's like UGH!!!
Oh an ex's name or something to that effect.
Yes! Working with kids makes it much worse
The job to name a child is very hard!! and one of you always thinks of someone or something attached to the name. It was so much more fun to play names before pregnancy, was so much less stressful!

Sorry! I LOVE Charlotte & Charlie!!! I just wasn't thinking baby names when I gave my dog a person name...I've been kicking myself since I got pregnant and realized I like Charlotte & Charles! Haha! AND DH & I took forever to agree on Chalrie for our dog....
what are your names? I just looked at your profile.. congrats on girl!! we are due very close together..
Thanks! I like old fashioned names, and we agreed on Cecelia Grace right away. We could not agree on a boys name AT ALL...but it turned out that we didn't need one. We were also thinking Sopie/Sophia, but we felt that Cecelia was less popular. Wow, we are close! :)
Very nice name.. strong and pretty. Last pregnancy we couldnt get a girls name forever & we had a girl.. now same with this pregnancy so thats why I think its another girl! Sophie is adorable, my mom is trying to get that one on my list! ha.

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
I don't know. I love it for a boy..my second DS is Ryan.
I just never thought of it as a girls name and since I had him i've heard of 2 people who named a DD Ryan. (one spelled it Ryanne, but to me that seems like it would be pronounced "Ree-Anne")
I say you go with whatever you like!! For me though, I think about things like talking on the phone or filling out paperwork and the confusion that might ensue with people assuming it is a male...just something to think about!

Thanks! I was convinced it was a boy, since we already had a girls name! Good luck with names! :)

I love it! Both of my girls have unisex names and we considered Ryan at one point. I absolutely love it for a girl!

Love it. I went to school with a female Ryan. I always thought it was such a cool name for a girl.

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
I, personally, am not a big fan of "boy" names being used for girls. In the beginning of my pregnancy DH wanted Jordan or Dylan for and I vetoed them right away. But that's just my own personal taste.

Jordan is not a boys name its universal my niece is Jordan & then theres jordana brewster - and my friends niece is also Jordan. Its like Charliegh or Andie. They are universal. So is Rian its an irish girls name. Spelled RIAN tho.

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
I like it for a girl (I know 2 female Ryans...very unique and strong name), however I just like it much more for a boy. Also, I feel like it doesnt really go with your DD's name which is so pretty and feminine.

I LOVE Charlotte, and Charlie as a nickname!!! (I wish I would have known I loved this name 2 years ago when I decided to name our dog Charlie )
This is how I feel about the name Benjamin - I love the name. But our first dog was named Benny...and I can't bring myself to use the name for a child now.
