Those who converted cribs to full size beds
We're about to convert DD's crib into the full size bed. We bought the bed rails that came with the crib. Since I have the rails, then I don't need a bed frame, right?
We're getting a mattress and boxspring. Are the beds really high up that sit upon the bed rails? Would it be lower if we went with a regular bed frame?
Also, if I use the rails that came with the crib, do I need to attach the footboard?
TIA!

Re: Those who converted cribs to full size beds
Not all cribs are exactly the same, but most are very similar.
The bedrails should be what supports the boxspring, so you shouldn't need a frame (the rails are part of the bedframe)
The beds are the same height whether you use the rails or a standard bedframe.
You do need to use the footboard, since that holds the rails on, and finishes the box that supports the mattress. The footboard is the two legs at the foot of the bed, so it's definitely needed.
