How to register for bottles?
I have been kinda putting this off but realize it's one of those things I COULD forget if I'm not careful (I'm using my registry as a shopping list as well)...I am planning on trying to BF but will pump down the line and want bottles...I read Dr. Browns and Born Free are good brands, I'll put a couple of different ones on there...but..what size bottles? Nipples? TIA!

Re: How to register for bottles?
When I registered for my 1st pregnancy, I put the Born Free gift pack on my registry. Someone bought it and I was so happy with it. I added a few more bottles after DD was born but the gift pack was definitely enough to get me through for a few months. It comes with I think 4 bottles, two different sizes and all the valves and nipples. Was about $40 if I recall. DD did great with Born Free and I will be using them with this baby.

Re: How to register for bottles?
I did a few born free and a few playtex. I did them in the starter sizes and in individual or packages of two, that way if the baby really hates one brand I can return the extras.

Re: How to register for bottles?
I registered for a few different brands for DS. Playtex Drop-ins, Born Free, Advent. All wide necks. I did all small bottles at first. I got 2-3 packs of all of them. DS hated all of them. He couldn't latch on to the wide nipples...Don't register for too many small bottles. You won't be using them long. After 3 months I was using the larger bottles. I ended up using Playtex Ventaire (regular size) bottles until I switched to the regular Evenflo bottles when DS was 8 months old...They worked the best!! 3 bottles for $2.99!!! Good luck. It is all trial and error.

Re: How to register for bottles?
If you're BFing and want bottles that cut down on confusion, go with the playtex ventaire wide bottles with slow-flow nipples. They are fabulous! There is a gift/starter set for under $25 that has 3 6 oz bottles and 2 9 oz bottles. DD never spits up or gets any gas from them at all and still latches great.

Re: How to register for bottles?
At BRU, I registered for the Dr. Brown's BPA Free Deluxe Gift Set.
Includes six 8 oz. bottles, four 4 oz. bottles, 10 Level 1 nipples, 4 Level 2 nipples, 4 Level 3 nipples, 4 Level 4 nipples, 6 storage caps and 5 cleaning brushes.
I also registered for the medela gift set since that is the pump I registered for and I was unsure of the supplies I would need with the pump.
In my BBB registry, I registered for: Dr. Brown's various size bottles in 3-pack bottles for extra supplies. I also registered for the ice pack for breast milk for when I pump on the go and the dishwasher basket for bottles/nipples,
Hope this helps.

Re: How to register for bottles?
I am having the same problem so I registered for 3 different brands, mostly starter gift sets. But I did add a few extra nipples for as the baby gets older. I noticed that on the packages for the nipples it said that wide is better for moms who plan to BF and use the bottle as well, so that's why I scanned the wide necks as opposed to standard size nipples.
I think the bottle department was the most overwhelming to be honest.
