Who ever said internals don't hurt....

LIED! Lol.

I have never yelped in a doctor's office before. I usuallly have a high tolerance for pain and can usually suck it up when I am in pain. But my first internal at 39w5d took me by surprise and I was in a lot of pain. I felt fine as soon as it was over but the pain now made me really afraid for the pain of being in labor and delivering. But at least I found out I had some progress. I am 1 to 2 cm dialated 50% effaced. He said I may go on my own. But that if I was still pregnant in 10 days we would schedule an induction. I really hope I go on my own and I go soon cause I dunno how fun it will be to return to work on my due date.

I think he was rough to try to get things going! But he should have said something so I was forewarned.

Thanks for the reassurance! I can't wait to meet my LO!

Re: Who ever said internals don't hurt....

i had one done when i had to go to labor and delivery at 32 weeks with ds for cramping. OMG i can still remember the pain. i thought i was going to crawl up the walls.

my dr thankfully doesnt do internals until ur in the hospital about to deliver however when i was induced i needed to get checked.. uh yea same exact thing.. my mother and sister knew it was me bc i was screaming like a lunatic...
i needed to get an epidural for them to check me bc i broke out in a cold sweat and threw up from the pain..

i have an extremly high tolerance for pain.. but i really think its the way maybe im shaped or something bc my sister had the same exact issue when she gave birth.
