Silly Question....do you and will you after the baby is born

Do you make your bed every day?
and if you do, do you think you still will after the baby is born and the chaos sets in?

I use to make the bed pretty much every morning before going to work unless I was running late......now I'll make the bed if people are coming over otherwise it doesn't happen!

i used to be religious about making the bed until DH came along. he loves an unmade bed and he made me lazy!! now i mostly do it only if company is coming

When I'm home, the bed gets made. During the week when DH leaves the house after me, the bed is never made. I'll usually quick make it after I come home. While I'm on maternity leave, I know the house will be neat and everything will be taken care of. Can't say what will happen when I go back to work though!

That would require me to actually be up early enough to have the extra time to make the bed. Sometimes DH gets into a bed making kick, but for the most part, it is only done when company is coming...and only if we think they are going to go upstairs

um considering I may be more on the four naps a day schedule than sleeping that would be a LOT of making the bad. .. so probably won't do anything. . .

I try but I wake up early for work- rush in the morning and just don't have time to do it so I try to fix it when I come home
I highly doubt once is here and taking her to daycare, I'll have time to even think about making my bed!!

Yes -- making the bed is something that both DH and I have instilled in our heads. It's like we have this mindset that your day will start off bad if your bed isn't made.

I don't see this changing.

ETA: My DH is so anal about making the bed that he gets up about 3 hours before me and makes his side of the bed WITH ME STILL IN IT.

i made the bed when i leave after DH and he always makes the bed when he leaves after me. i think i trained him well lol. i hope that continues after the baby is born!

i usually do, but now i leave the house before DH and he wont do it so no its basically never made!
but if im home later than he is i will make it!

we do now.....but actually DH does it since I take forever getting ready in the a.m love him for it

I try to everyday, but it's hard when you know that your DH or dog will ruin it during the day .

DH works the swing shift so theres no point in making it since he is sleeping in it sometimes during the day, or when I leave, or when I get home lol Usually I make it on the weekends when his hours are 8-4

We only make the bed when company is coming over I fix the pillows and blankets daily to make it look somewhat presentable but don't fully make the bed. I figure we are just going to get back in it at night so why bother lol.

As soon as I get out of bed, I put my covers back into place with DH still in there. Then when he gets up I just straighten his side. There's something about having the bed made that makes everything feel neater to me, so I hope to continue this when baby arrives.

Yes I do and yes I will.

I am sure life will be a lot busier when the baby arrives, but I can not get into my bed without it made. Their have been times when I was working from 6am-1am (when I worked 2 jobs) and DH tries to make the bed but he doesn't do a good job at all, so at 1am when I got home from work I would make the bed right before I got into it. It doesn't take long at all, so I am pretty sure I will continue to always make the bed.

I pretty much make the bed everyday because when the bed is messy the entire room looks messy and that makes me feel crazy!!!! However, there have been occasions where I'm too tired, lazy, etc and just skip it. Once baby is here who knows. I feel like i'll still make it when I have the engery, but it's not a big deal if I don't.

As a FTWM, the only thing that makes me feel like I am not totaly falling apart is making the bed and cleaning the dirty dishes every day.

Always. Making the bed takes under a minute, so if I get out of bed without making it one day, when I come back to it in the afternoon, I feel like a failure.

We make the bed maybe twice a month. On a good month. It's part of DH's separation of chores, so I won't do it, because that's just positive reinforcement. It's like housebreaking Therefore, it rarely gets done, and I doubt I've made my point, but it's principle at this point. This definitely won't change after baby.

We only make the bed just to sleep in it. I've always done it this way.

We only put out the full ensemble, if you will, when company comes over. Otherwise, it's just our comforter and pillows, nothing fancy.

dh leaves after me so it is never made. sometimes he is on a kick and does it for a few days....

i think when I am home, i won't do it either. there will be too much going on.

I make our beds every day! My DH says I have OCD! If the beds aren't made it totally screws up my entire day!

making my bed is like brushing my teeth-I do it the first thing in the morning. I am practically sleeping as I do it and DH laughs at me saying that only a type A psycho like me can jump out of bed to make it before anything else. I love seeing my bed all nicely made throughout the day and I love going to bed seeing it made. Makes me calm to have it that way...but maybe I'm weird
