Carrier For Spinal Muscular Atrophy UPDATE
Im so scared and nervous, i tested that i was a carrier for SMA and now we have to test DH. Please send Prayers that he doesnt have it also, i am so nervous.
Is anyone else a carrier
UPDATE thank GOD the nurse called today and said my DH is not a carrier. I am so relieved, i have been a nervous nelly all week

Yes, I am a carrier. Fortunetly, my husband was tested and he is not. My best advice to you is not to drive yourself crazy looking things up online (something I did while waiting for the results of my DH to come back).
Are you a patient of Hanneur/Dolisi?

I am a former Dr Braverman patient and now i see Dr Pilliterri and Dr Kofinas.

I know what you are going thru...i found out i was a carrier of cystic fibrosis...
chances are that DH does not have it!! praying for you!

I am a carrier also and was so nervous. DH was not, thankfully. They say it's very rare and not to worry. I know it's difficult though.

I am a carrier and DH is not. Between finding out that I was a carrier and waiting for him to get tested, for his results to come in was the hardest part of this pregnancy so far.
That your DH is not a carrier

 Hang in there and try not to freak yourself out too much. I found out I was a carrier for Tay Sachs and completely panicked. My DH was not. The time in between the tests was awful, but in the end worked out. Good luck!!!!
