Another ? for Disney

We have been there before however we stayed on the grounds but we would like to go one more time and wanted to know if anyone has stayed outside of Disney and if so where did you stay, apprx how far was it, and did you like it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Also, to be honest not a huge fan of Disney itself but do you think it's more important for the kids to have the real Disney vacation where you see all 4 parks or would you think it's just as good if you you only do 2parks at disney and then add Universal and Seaworld?

I personally feel we should just do what we liked the most in our past visits being it will most likely be our last time going however my husband feels even though we liked universal and seaworld it's not part of Disney and the kids should do all Disney.

dh and i used our timeshare and stayed in downtown disney. we stayed at sheraton. with no kids and no car it was worth it for us. there was so much on the property that we could have stayed on the hotel property the whole week. we definitely enjoyed it.

i think all the disney parks are great. universal i find is geared toward older kids.
