stinky doc appt tonight
Most importantly the baby is all fine and well...
me on the other hand .. not so much, my doc isnt to happy with my weight gain (40 pounds). He told me to watch.
Then, my bp had went up, not terrible, but he is concerned. I can't go to work Monday, I have to go back to see him. There is a chance I will have to stay out of work all week.
 He mentioned toximia. I am not too concerned, I am relieved this is happening at the end. And I did suspect sopmething was up cause my hands and feet started to swell.
Anyone else have this?
This is pretty common for the end isnt it?
make me feel better...

I just googled... it's saying 60...but I really remember them saying 80 right when she gave birth.
it also says mila jahovavich (soo spelled wrong) gained about 70...

My SIL gained 85 with her first. She was only 19 years old when she got PG (20 when she gave birth) and when the doctor said "drink milk" she thought that meant "eat half a box of oreos with milk every night."
She lost all but about 20 before she got PG with her second 2 years later. And she's back to normal totally now.
Hope everything goes ok, Dana!!! I'm glad they're keeping a close eye on you "just in case" -- more attention is better than not enough!

I gained 65 pounds with my DS and was EXTREMELY swollen the last 4 weeks or so, and I did not have toxemia or anything else. I bet he was just being cautious which is a good thing! Hang in there!

I'm sure all is ok!!!!! Your doctor is covering all his bases-better he should monitor you closely-of you're out of work, you're out of work you know???
And no worries I'm up 40lbs too at 33 weeks
Just think-in a few short weeks we'll start seeing those numbers going down and we'll have our LO's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hands and feet are very swollen.
To give you an idea...my ring size is usually a 5! I just bought a fake band in size 8. The only shoes I can wear are my Cardy Uggs that are a few years old and strected out. I had a migraine 3 straight days in a row (Christmas eve, Christmas day and the day after). Complete with blurry vision. The only thing thats OK is my BP, thats been pretty normal.
Oh and I'm up 40lbs as well.
Try to stay off your feet as much as you can. I was doing way too much and I think thats what brought all of this on. I spent one entire day on the couch (it was hard lol) and the swelling in my feet went down by a lot!
I asked my midwives about toxemia but they dont think I have it.
Did they test your urine?

I'm completely swollen too - I haven't been able to wear my rings since week 16. My hands, feet and face look like blimps - I'm sure it'll all go away for everyone!

they tested my urine and didnt say anything. Today i saw cariann and she took my blood pressure and it went down 15 points!!!
Maybe it was the mcdonalds i had for lunch yesterday???
We shall see what monday brings..... thanks girls!!
