Silly Question...Can I put my china in the dishwasher??
I have the opal innocence pattern by lenox and are going to use it for the first time this christmas. Do I have to wash all the pieces by hand or can i put it in the dishwasher?? lol i have no idea.

you can put it in the dishwasher if it says "dishwasher safe" on the back of the dishes. i put my lenox tribeca china in our dishwasher. there's also a china setting on our dishwasher.

I cannot put mine in the dishwasher. Mine have a platinum band that will get ruined if I put it in the dishwasher.

yea check the box or packaging or online. I never purchased china but i have my grandmothers and it has real gold on it so (its my great grandmothers) no go in dishwashers!

There is no way in hell I would have registered for China that wasn't dishwasher safe !!! - Mine is Waterford and it's fine, even w/ the platnium ring around the edge -
I'm pretty sure most of Lenox is - but look online - I can't IMAGINE that pattern NOT being dishwasher safe as it's one of the most popular

Not a silly question--I'm sure it varies, but for yours,
yes it is dishwsher safe.
"All Lenox fine china is dishwasher-safe. When washing Lenox china in the dishwasher, use a mild liquid or powder detergent. Load china securely on racks so that the pieces do not touch, and so they won't be dislodged by water action. Ensure that the dishwasher is in good working condition and has no exposed metal racks. Also ensure that metal objects (pots, pans, utensils) do not come in contact with the china. Use a mild wash cycle, and let pieces cool before removing."

I have the same dishes and I put them in the dishwasher and they were fine.

Ditto. Also have Waterford with a platinum rim and it says it's dishwasher safe. However I DO have Lenox crystal with a platinum rim that is NOT dishwasher safe. Didn't realize that until I started taking them out of the box they all had warning stickers on them.

we have a wedgewood pattern with a gold rim--dishwasher safe.
we use the china/crystal setting and no heated dry for the china and fancy flatware.

I am sure to put only the china in & I use the china setting.
