Going to Ireland on Friday...
to see the family! Cant wait! It will always be home! No looking forward to the traveling though & the frigid temps.

Have a great trip! Where in Ireland are they?
My dad just got back from a week there over Thanksgiving. It's not that cold, just dark. Well, it depends on if you're up north, but he was in County Clare. He said the weather down south in Cork was actually very good.

Yeah my dad said it was snowing in Ennis when he was there.
I love Galway. I got massive food poisoning from a fruit smoothie by the Spanish Arch several years ago... our most recent trip, I stayed away from that place lol. We did go out for Indian food right next to there, though!
We spent more time in Ennis than Galway simply because it was closer, but everywhere we went was just so much fun, and the people so sweet and welcoming. For you, of course, it's home, so it's even better!
The M10 out of Shannon is a really nice bypass road. If only there were a way to drive around and bypass Limerick when going south. I just cannot navigate around there smoothly, no matter what!

I know exactly what you mean. I'm from Dublin but my parents now live in Wicklow and it will always be my home too. I'm hoping to partially retire there in years to come.

have a great time! i;m sure you've heard the weather has been terrible. many of the country roads were completely impassable due to the snow and ice.
have a wonderful time though and a happy christmas! :)

We just came back too. We were there for the week of Thanksgiving. The weather was cold and no rain, but that has totally changed now. It is cold and snowy there. Bring warm clothes! Most of all have fun and Enjoy!!
