If you have a child in Preschool (gift related)
...and you got an email stating that a mom is collecting money for the teachers gifts, would you go in on it or do your own thing??
This is my dilemma: She wants everyone to give $20 and that will be split among 3 teachers. So if everyone gave, it would be $400 split between 3 with the lead teacher getting a bit more.
While I don't have much money at all this season, I planned on giving each teacher a $25 gift card..
Am I stupid for not just doing the class gift??? She wants the money by tuesday, and obviously its way less money out of my pocket but somehow i just feel they deserve a bit more.
Does this sound like a normal amount? There are 20 kids in the class..

I usually do both. Is that an option. Maybe give the class gift and then just a $10 gift card to Starbucks or the movie to each teacher? I never like to bail on class gift. I have no idea why though...LOL but I always like to give something personally as well.

DS isn't in school yet but I'd participate in any sort of class gift if there was one. I'd probably also give a separate gift on top of the class gift.

Last year at the end of the school year I collected $10 from each mother to be split amongst the 2 teachers. They ended up with $50 gift cards each and then I gave an additional gift to each from my DS.
