Holiday tablescapes (w/pics)
The hub and I hosted Thanksgiving this year and since I dont have China, I went out and bought plain white plates and dressed them up...I had so much fun with it, I decided to do the same for Christmas
I pretty much got everything at Pier 1 and just mixed and matched.

so pretty!!!! we're hosting xmas eve... i have everything i need for an awesome table... except we don't have dining room chairs. lol. so no pics yet.

I was lazy for Thanksgiving and didn't bother putting out my crystal, but now I regret doing so because my table looks naked  :
I don't set my table until the night prior or morning of, so I'll have to update later in the month with Christmas pics.

Totally stupid question but....are you supposed to put plates like that out and leave them for the season?? I'm so challenged with this home stuff. It looks really pretty!!!! or is that just for the day when company comes over. See....told you I was challenged.

Very nice! I don't have a dining room but like what you've done with yours. 
With white or solid plates, they can really set off a nice pattern right, so don't feel bad about that. You're being fashionable! All patterns all the time can be too much.

AnaMarie - I leave them out but before we actually eat, the day of, I remove them and wash everything before I set the table to sit down to eat.

Thank you! I got the table locally (I live in VA) but the manufacturer is Bernhardt and this set is part of the Martha Stewart Lily Pond Collection. You should be able to find a furniture store locally that sells Bernhardt furniture.

My parents have bought extra sets of white plates from Ikea. Target usually has them too. Mix them in with your china, it will look cute. We do buffet for Christmas b/c it's always over 40 people and we always use plain white plates.
