Mama's Taking Their Own Holiday Pictures....
Where are you doing it?? I want to do something outside because I really don't like using the flash on my camera (I still don't know how to use it is what I should say) but don't know where to go.

I'm not really sure where you are located- but Mill Pond on Merrick Road in Bellmore (right across from Rita's) is really pretty!

We recently did a mini-shoot but I'll probably use those for gifts instead. They are very fall-ish and I feel weird about using them on a holiday card. I have issues......
I thought we might try to take some pics for the card at Hicks since it's already decorated and our trees won't be up for a while yet. I have an idea for something silly/fun I wanted to try, but I don't know that we'll be able to play around too much at Hicks like we can at home.

Funny, it was just written up in Newsday this weekend as a hidden spot! We did our mini-shoot there, it's VERY pretty. I love going there to walk and take pics of the foliage.

I went to the harbor near where I live. I took some out in the park area and some on the beach. Here's some of my better ones...

If you're worried about your pictures being fall-ish, then you wouldn't want Mill Pond right now. We just went on Sunday. It's gorgeous with all the leaves on the ground and what not, but it definitely looks like Fall.

I did a Holiday shoot with Forever Fireflies- but I have an idea for a card that I need a specific outfit for.
I think I'm going to take her to either Gardiner Park in Bayshore or to Robert Moses.

are there any docks near you that have holiday lights up yet? if you hit the dusk light just right, with the lights on, it could be beautiful.
