My son got his last year from parents when he turned 3. Fortunely it is still at my paretns house since we don't have room in the playroom. My DH was not happy with them last year but, he got over it.

I got one for my DS last xmas (he was 2 1/2) he absolutely loves it and would totally recommend getting one if you can take the noise. My son still plays his almost daily.
P.S. - Ours is in our basement playroom.

My mom just bought this one for Peyton for Christmas at Toys r Us on sale for $79. It's the First Act Discovery Drum Set(its junior size) It says ages 3-9(I think)

We bought our 4 year old a beautiful drum set from musicians Friend.com last year for Christmas. It is 99.00 free shipping and they can grow with it. The first act one is very small and will only get a year or 2 use out of it max. The one we got you can add on and they can use it until about 8-9 years old.

We got the one everyone pictured for my nephew. We hope he'll love it. My SIL will hate us for it, but to see my nephew sooo happy will be worth it!

this one looks like the one we got dd last year when she was 2 from santa..she loves it and still plays with it now everytime she is in the basement
