ladies who are 5'3-5'5
when buying dress pants, do you buy petite or regular?
lately, ive been buying petite because they are perfect with flats but I can't wear them with heels   (unless there is a flood  )
what do you do? do you have two seperate sets? one for flats and one for heels?

I have pants for flats and pants for heals. It's really annoying and expensive but I have no choice!

i have the same. i've also noticed that one stores version of regular length is another's version of petite.

Pretty much all of my pants are for heels, so regular length. If I want to wear flats I wear a skirt hehe. I do have a pair of khakis and a pair of olive green pants that are shorts so I can wear them with flats at conventions I sometimes attend, but regular dress pants I prety much always wear heels

I buy separate pants.
Almost all of my regular length pants need to be hemmed, and "short" lengths are a bit too short to wear with heels.
90% of the time I'm wearing heels though.

Work pants I buy for heels.
My problem is though, that petite ae usually too short for heels & regular too long & hate getting things hemmed.
I wear flats to commute though, so they do get a litle stepped on.
Jeans- I have one of each. The looser fitting shorter ones are my gardening, running to hoem deopt jeans. My going out jeans are a straighter leg & longer. I do wear them with flats occassional & the are now all frayed at the bottom.
I have a couple of parirts of chinos that I mostly wear in the summer, and those are petite.

I have to buy petite in all pants...even if I wear heals, regular pants are just a bit too long still, but I have very short legs.

I am 5'5 and I have 2 sets of pants.
I purchase regular length to wear with flats and I purchase "long" lengths to wear with heals.
BUT I also have very long legs, so I don't think that I have ever worn petite pants in my life!

ditto... I feel more comfortable when they're longer and I always wear heels. I just like the look of dress pants with heels better. Makes me look tall and thin

I rarely wear flats, so I just buy regular pants. Sometimes they hit the floor in my sneakers or if I do happent o wear flats but not enough to make me buy a 2nd pair.

Ditto..
and I don't like buying petite oftentimes because I'm only 5"4 but I'm long legged so alot of them look funny on me so I just get regular length and have them hemmed.

For jeans - I buy regular since the petite ones are too short.

I buy regular so that I can wear them with heels. I am also closer to exactly 5'5 so a tiny bit of a heel on petite pants would make them look highwater on me

UGH I have this issue...... I guess I am right between "short" and "average" for pant length (I am 5'6" but have short legs) so the short ones look ridiculous & the average are way too long. SO annoying! I have a few pants that I must wear with heels (or else they get all bunched up at the bottom & drag on the floor) and a few that literally end at my ankles so I need to wear them with flats.... unless I pull them down a little & wear them at my hips so they are slightly longer & can wear certain heels with them.... I end up thinking about it too much... Drives me crazy!!!!!

I have never really been able to wear petite pants because my legs are long. I do need petite jackets, though. I buy regular length pants but I do often need alterations. I usually wear flats.

This is me too!! The only good thing is I do not wear heels, so I don't need two sets of pants but all my pants are either too short or too long
