Should I do it?
I've been wanting a longchamp bag for months. I think it's the perfect bag to schlep stuff to work.
Bloomingdales is having Friends and Family 20% discount and I have a $100 gift card.
with shipping it will actually cost me $37.
I hate to pay for shipping though but I won't be able to get there at all in the next week.
Do you think that's a fair deal or do you think I should wait?
I mean, $100 of it is paid for..I think I'm being uber cheap. I usually am when I'm buying things for myself.
I went to Modell's yesterday and bought $10 sweats. DH bought the $40 ones.

Honestly, I have three longchamps bags and I just don't love them. I wish there were more pockets and I don't like that the small inside pocket doesn't have a zipper. I lost something very valuable from that inside pocket and haven't used any of my bags since.

hmm..I know what you mean. I'm looking to schelp my lunch, a pair of shoes, maybe some papers, ipod and headphones..nothing small like that.
Sorry you lost something so important.
I like the waterproofness, the size and that it has a zipper. I also think it's good looking but I'm willing to consider other things.

I am not a fan of the inside pocket either, but I still love mine. I jsut keep my metro card & myphone in there now.
I can stuff all my work junk in the bag without looking like a bag lady.
I did have to get a bigger wallet so it wouldn't get lost in the bottom of the bag & have to put other little things in pouches.
I say get it. I remember you talking about it from before I bought one! (I couldn't wait for a sale!)

I agree with the inside pocket thing but if that's not an issue for you then go for it!  I personally love the look of Longchamp bags and own 2.

I am on my second Longchamp. I find that with my daily use (and the amazing amount of stuff I cram in there every day for work) they last abut a year before they start looking ratty and the corners fray a bit. But that is with near daily use, and my shoving in there books, shoes, umbrellas, food, cardigans, etc.
I use the tiny inside pocket to hold old receipts, my building pass for work and my metrocard only. I have never had anything fall out (I always zip the top part). I have a black wallet, a makeup bag, keys, cell, etc. and never have much of any issue finding stuff.
