Just for laughs! Dumb comments
What dumb comments have you heard?
Pregnancy is a time to enjoy yourself and be happy. Why people say the comments they say we will never understand but instead of getting mad, upset or taking it personal let's just laugh at them.....
So I am 4 months pregnant and all I get is this comment
"Are you having twins"
Reply "no"
"Are you sure????"

sooo annoying!
them: are you sure there's not more than 1 in there?
me: yes it's one
them: are you sure?
me: yes- i've had many ultrasounds and there's only 1 in there.

DS will be 13.5 months when DC#2 is born. I cannot believe how many people have asked, implied or assumed that my PG was a "surprise"

Its always the twin comments!!!! Dont they understand its extremely rude!! Them: Are you sure theres only 1 in there? Me: Yeah im sure but since you seem to think your a Dr and know better Ill go with your assumption that theres 2....stupid azz

I was told that my belly is finally catching up with my azz.... idiot
DH's grandma said to me, while looking me up and down "well you have gained weight" - yes.. there is a baby inside of me, there are nicer ways to say it
Cashier at the food store last night: "Do you know what you are having?"
Me: "A boy!"
Cashier: "oh, first child"
Me: "Yes"
Cashier: "well you still can have a second and hope for a girl"
Me: "I am actually thrilled to have a boy, Its what I always wanted"
Cashier "Oh"

I get the twin comment once in awhile. But these are the three award winners:
Bronze medal
"Wow, you're really getting big!"

Really? Did you examine the size and shape of my pelvis with your X-ray vision?

What the heck kind of question is this? I was dying to respond, "No, he's really annoyed - but my boyfriend is thrilled!!"

She has no filter and this was at only 17 weeks!! Looking back at my 17 week pic, I wish I still looked that good! I can only imagine what she must think now

The other day I was in HR getting paperwork for my maternity leave/NYS disability forms.
HR: Your benefits are the same no matter if it's twins, triplets.....(wink, smirk)
Me: Nope, just one in there.
HR: Well you never know....
Me: Um, I've seen the baby several times now, just one.
Or the comments about what I can/can't eat. Funny, I'm 16 weeks, I think I know by now. I got along just fine for the first 13 weeks before any of you even knew I was PG, but thanks anyway.
Or even better, the "silent" comments. I'm still small and barely showing a bump so my clothes hide it. I *love* when I tell people I'm PG and they look at me like "Really?" as if I'm lying about it.
"You're so tiny!" Yea well I'm having a baby, it's small, I'm not having an adult!!!!

Mine last week was from a rather large lady herself...
"wow you are starting to pop, not so much in the front, but more on the sides"
gee thanks...those are called love handles!

Okay this is not a mean one but does go under dumb. .
I'm sitting with some friends and I say
"Oh I just found out _______ (a mutual friend) and I have the same due date. Isn't that crazy?"
Friend: Oh that is weird. So do you think you conceived around the same time or not?
All the rest of us just kind of looked at her like WHAT?!!

I just started really looking pregnant and not just fat. Right before I went out and got maternity clothes, I had some lady at work look me up and down and say "Are you gonna go maternity clothes shopping?"
I turned bright red and said "yes, eventually."
Not that this is rude....but I found it odd...
When DH tells people at his job that I'm preggo...a lot of people (men) ask if we're breastfeeding...I thought that was sort of a girly subject

co-worker: So did you find out what you're having yet?
Me: Yes! It's a girl!
co-worker: Oh. Are you happy?
Me: Umm... of course. Why wouldn't I be happy?
co-worker: I don't know
it wasn't a mean comment at all, but a dumb one nonetheless. What kinda question is that? Who would answer "No actually. I'm p!ssed! I was kinda hoping for a hermaphrodite"

co-worker: Not sure if you heard but I'm pregnant.
me: Oh wow, congrats!!! Was it planned?
co-worker: (looking at me weird) Um, yes...
Not sure what I was thinking, it just sort of spilled out. I guess I figured she was so young and newly married they'd want to enjoy each other for a while. Oops.
