In your opinion
do you think this dress would look ok on a pear shaped frame...

If that was black I would say yes.. I think the shape is good for a pear shaped body .. But.... Not the bright color.. even chocolate brown is better.. Does it come in another color?

It comes in another bright color but not black. I also was hoping to stay in tht color family...I really want wear color- I always wear black... It's an event I'm hosting... So black is like last option
So any suggestions for a different style dress:(
That I could get in that color family

I think it really depends on th degree of pear shape...
for instance I'm sort of pear shaped, and I think that dress would work on me.
My friend, however is very pear shaped..like a 14 on the bottom and an 8 on top...I don't think it would work on her.
Pear shape IMO looks best in more Aline or fuller skirted dresses.
What's your price range..maybe I can find some stuff...

ITA. It looks like the shape of the skirt comes out a little from the waist anyway so it might compensate for your curves, depending on how curvy you are. If you can try it on, go for it!

That type of cut and material is cinched in the waist, and is going to not exactly hug your hips, but make them look more prominent. -

I agree with a previous poster that in a darker shade it would look nice on a pear shape.

So I hear you all... Sorry it's hard to get on during the day...
1- it's a jovani prom dress. I originally found it on serendipity.com I think. With that said I hve called at least 20 stores and no one has it in stock I hve to order it in my size or thereabouts... Then I'm stuck with it if I dont like it... That's my hesitation.
I like 2 like to try things on.
2- price point is no more than $600 prefer less...but I gotta do what I gotta do
3- I'm 5 feet with no shoes... In tops I wear about a medium/large... I'll look for a body shot pic
4- it's my 30th party and we are doing a nice affair to celebrate... I just want to look pretty
Im not one to say I am pretty so... Cause I don't feel that way...
Anyway any suggestions I'll take
