1st Pair of walking shoes? Where do you get them?
The twins are just starting to walk and I notice with shoes on its much more, and easier, and would like to get them "Real" walking shoes...

Thats what I thought. I mean most of the time they are barefoot, but they have shoes and I noticed with shoes on, they let go and actually walk more...so I wantred to get a "Good" pair vs. the Target shoes they have

I just bought the twins theirs. I got striderite brand from endless.com. I went to Lobels and got them measured but they had a sucky selection. The pair I wanted for Gia, no one had but this website. It was great though because they had free overnight shipping!

had him measured at the regular stride rite store and then went to the outlet and bought DS two pairs for what the regular store was charing for one

We got them from the Stride Rite outlet too. I liked the prewalkers or early trainers (can't remember the name) but they had very pliable soles so it was more like walking barefoot but with some stability.

when he was JUST walking and still a little wobbly I found regular sneakers too heavy so I bought him Robeez. Then I got Stride Rite. Love them
You can go online and get some pairs cheaper. There's always a coupon code you can find.

I think Robeez and Pedipeds are popular first shoes. I went to buy them but they were sold out in DS's size so we got a generic brand from BBB. They were great and seemed very comfy.
DS's first real shoes were a pair of nikes he got at his 1st bday party. I thought they seemed a bit heavy for him.
