on clothing/shoes/accessories, what do you spend it on?

Total revamp.
I am in the process of doing this, slowly.
I am starting with pants - classic colors and styles that will last a LONG time. Work pants and corduroys are my staple because I can't wear jeans to work.
I also collect cardigans because I have always loved layering, that can totally change the look I am going for.
I don't bother spending more than $50 on shoes because those to me are the most trendy and easiest to change. I will never spend $400 on shoes, ever 
Shirts are hard for me. I am still discovering my "style" and what looks best on me, so again, I don't want to spend a lot.
I don't know what kind of job you have (or even if you are a SAHM) so I don't know if you can wear dresses to work - I can't, but if I could I would invest in those as well.
Things I would spend a large chunk of $$ on are a GREAT bag and a GREAT coat that I will use and wear every single day.

a pair of over the knee boots, skinny jeans, skinny cargo pants, black boyfriend blazer, booties, some tops, a versatile work/going out dress.

I'm a sahm. I revamped my summer wardrobe on ~$600.
For fall/winter I have basics - though I can never have enough corduroy lol - and am good on outerwear, though I coukd use a late fall/early winter jacket.
But I want more of a style/look than just clothes, kwim?

I'd buy a LV Speedy. I always wanted one but DH thinks it is ridiculous to spend that kind of money on just a bag. 
ETA: That would probably leave me with like $250 to spend. So many I'd just buy a few cute tops for going out. I already have enough work and casual clothes because I just went shopping.

Then I would spend that money on shoes and a new, classic style bag (your DD is old enough that you don't use a diaper bag right?)
Shoes can change your look no matter what basics you are wearing!
Also, I have found that I tend to like some of the shirts I already own more if I layer them with a tank/cami or a cardigan.

I would add to my existing wardrobe.
I wouldn't be able to justify spending $300, $400 or $500 on one item, unless it was an insanely gorgeous bag that I'd get a lot of use (years) out of.
I would buy a lot of classic stuff for work. Fitted pants, long sleeve sweaters/tops. Shoes and matching belts.
For more casual wear, I'd buy more jeans, fitted sweaters, different types of shoes (boots, clogs, sneakers, to match my mood).
I'd also buy more jackets & coats, since when I'm out, that's what people see on me the most (shopping, mall, etc.).
I'd add some sweater dresses into my wadrobe too, since those are versitile.
I'm not a big jewelry/accessory person, so I'd keep that minimal.
I'd also buy new work out clothes and lounging clothes for home. And some new pajamas.
I'd def. leave some money left over and get a lot of things tailored to fit me perfectly.

Considering you are a SAHM but also want to have style, I would see some skinny cords and long cardigans or those drapey open cardigans.
Maybe something like this with a long-sleeve tee and a lightweight vest.
Maybe an outfit or two like this, but with flat boots.
And I like this look. A tunic sweater with a crisp white shirt and leggings or skinny jeans.

I would buy a bunch of the items I have been eyeing and then a few staples (layering pieces, jeggings, tall socks for under boots)

I would buy the Manolo Blahnik high heeled Mary Janes I have been lusting over for years and then buy some essentials-boot cut Seven for All Mankind (my favorite jeans), black cashmere turtleneck, then I would blow the rest at a place such as Forever 21 and get cute accessories and cheapie pieces!

LOVE! I agree...I would spend it on one pair of shoes or a bag...although I would prob need more than $1,000

I know I know shame on me!!!!!!They are a 39 !!!! They make me sick to my stomach when I look at them because they are gorgeous!!! I just tried them on again and I really cant believe I bought them this high!!! There is no platform to help you out .. You are on your tippy toes literally.. I took a picture with them on when i was pregnant .. I had to be sitting or I would have killed myself!!!

i pretty much wear the same thing everyday-same black top with jeans and either boots or converses (sandals in the summer). i'd take the $1000 and buy a nice, leather handbag that's neutral enough to go with everything, and a neutral coat as well since it's getting chillier, and a cute pair of shoes/boots
