Wall color question - a complimentary wall, I guess.
First, take a look at this pic:
Do you see the separate wall that the window is housed on? What if you painted that section a different color? Would that look okay?
I was thinking of painting it a lighter color than my walls, to compliment and enhance, as the windows are the main focal point of the dining room.
What say you?

I think that would look nice. I would do same color family, just a shade lighter. I did this in our bathroom. The toilet is in a separate 'arched' area, than the rest of the bathroom, and i painted it the next shade lighter on the color chart, just for some contrast.

I personally wouldn't paint it a completely different color, but I would do a lighter/darker version of the color that's already on the wall. I think it's a cool idea.
That room is really nice, by the way.

Is that your room????? Love it!
I would definitely paint it two shades lighter than your wall color. Like a PP said not a new color entirely, just two shades lighter than your current color.

Me too. If anything, i'd paint the whole room a paler shade of that color.
