cruise with a 14 month old

Am I crazy for wanting to do this?
My dd will be 14 months old in February, when DH has vacation (NYC teacher).
1. Am I nuts for wanting to do this?
2. The only cruise that fits within our time frame is carnival - I've never been on Carnival before - is it family friendly or is it geared to spring breakers?

TIA

I think it sounds like a perfect family vacation. I think a few pple on here have been on a cruise with their toddler. I think there's a lot of activities for them to do too.

Look into the ship and see what they say for kids

Re: cruise with a 14 month old

We are planning one when DS is 9 months. last cruise I went on, there was a couple with a one year old we saw everywhere... including blackjack tournaments. They had a great time and said a cruise vacation with a small child is convenient.

I prefer carnival. The food is better... the entertainment too. IMO, the cruise is still for you... kid is too young.

So.... do it!

I've been on cruises, but never with kids. I really think it depends on the child. DS will be one the end of this month and I honestly do not think that I would bring him on a cruise in 2 months from now. He's really wild and into everything!! But if your DD is a good girl, I say go for it!
